If your front teeth are chipped, oddly shaped, or discoloured, we can create a natural looking white and consistent appearance by using porcelain veneers.
Veneers are made from wafer-thin porcelain which reflects light in almost the same way your natural teeth do. These strong and stain-resistant restorations are bonded to the front of your tooth, similar to the way a false fingernail is put in place.
We can put veneers on a single, or multiple, teeth to add uniform shape, symmetry and colour to your smile.
The results can be stunning and long-lasting.
Getting porcelain veneers put in place typically takes 2 visits roughly 3 weeks apart.
During your first visit, we will make impressions of your mouth and match the colour of the new veneer to your natural teeth.
Once your veneers are created, we will invite you back to the practice for your second visit where we will then remove a thin layer of enamel to allow the veneer to fit seamlessly and snugly onto your tooth.
Then we’ll place the veneers and smooth, shape and polish them to achieve results definitely worth smiling about.
TREATMENT INVOLVED IMPLANT AND VENEER
PORCELAIN VENEERS
In our years of experience, we find the vast majority of our patients don’t feel a thing. However, some may experience a small amount of extra sensitivity, either during or immediately after the new veneers are put in place. Normally, though, this goes away on its own in a day or two.
Our team at Quayside Dental and Implant Centre have years of experience successfully placing veneers. This is a long lasting treatment if the veneers are well cared for through good oral hygiene, diet and follow-up care.
However, if you neglect the care of your veneers and consume lots of sweets, fizzy drinks and other sugary treats, your teeth will become a target of tooth decay and your veneer may need to be removed and replaced.
Generally, yes. But like any dental treatment, there are always exceptions. If, during your exam/assessment, we find untreated tooth decay, acid erosion, gum disease, or evidence of teeth grinding, we will decide we need to treat these issues first before you can be successfully fitted with veneers.
Your dentist will take the time to talk you through all of the available treatment options.
A single veneer will cost between £450 and £600 depending on your desired results and the resulting lab fees. We will discuss all of your options to make sure you’re happy before we go ahead with the treatment.
We offer simple, flexible ways to pay for dental care to all our Quayside Dental members.
